1. Data Deletion Policy

DM Responder respects your privacy and provides you with the ability to request deletion of your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and Meta's Data Policy.

2. What Data Can Be Deleted

You can request deletion of:

• Your account and profile information
• Leads and contact information collected through automations
• Conversation history and messages
• Automation workflows and execution logs
• Analytics and usage data
• Connected Instagram/Facebook account data

3. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide our services. Upon a valid deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., for financial or legal compliance).

4. How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, you can:

1. Log in to your DM Responder account.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
3. Follow the on-screen confirmation process.
4. Or send an email to privacy@dmresponder.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

5. Meta App Data

If you've connected your Instagram or Facebook account to DM Responder, you can also initiate data deletion directly through Meta's app settings by revoking access to DM Responder. Once your account is disconnected, we will not retain any of your Instagram or Facebook data.

6. Verification

We may require verification of your identity before processing your deletion request. This is to ensure security and prevent unauthorized deletion of account data. Verification is typically done via your registered email address.

7. Exceptions

We may retain certain data if required by law, for active legal proceedings, or to maintain service integrity (such as fraud prevention). We will notify you of any such exceptions when we respond to your request.
